ONE DAY. ONE CHALLENGE.
UPDATE: Scholarship Day raised over $220,000 from 1,135 gifts! ARHU placed fifth in the college challenge and won $1000 matching funds for having the most donors within the 5-6 PM hour.
12.11.13: Today for 24 HOURS, the University of Maryland is calling on all Terps to come together to support student scholarships. Scholarships are critical to our ability to recruit the best students to Maryland. They change Lives!
On our first-ever Scholarship Day, we’re holding the biggest one-day giving event in Maryland’s history.
Donors can designate their gift to one of 17 scholarship options, of which TWO are affiliated with the College of Arts and Humanities:
- General ARHU Funds: https://giving.umd.edu/giving/showSchool.php?name=arts-humanities
- Performing Arts Fund: https://theclarice.umd.edu/make-gift-and-support-performing-arts
To add some friendly competition, the college or school with the MOST DONORS in 24 hours will receive matching funds up to $5,000. Specialty funds, like the Performing Arts Fund, are counted toward the college and are challenged to raise the MOST DOLLARS to receive matching funds up to $3,000.
