ARHU announces a new series of workshops dedicated to sharing best practices in academic technology.
Academic Technology, a unit within the College of Arts and Humanities, is hosting a series of faculty discussions on best practices in topics related to teaching with technology. Each Tech Talk will feature a faculty presentation followed by a Q&A. All faculty and graduate students are invited to attend, and light refreshments will be provided.
Faculty Tech Talks will be held on the third Thursday of each month in Holzapfel 0128 from 1-2 p.m.

Thursday, September 16th– Best Practices in Online Teaching with Bernard Cooperman, Department of History & Dr. Elsa Barkley Brown, Department of History and Department of Women’s Studies
Thursday, October 21st– Using Twitter to Boost Student Engagement with Julie Enszer, Teaching Assistant for Department of Women’s Studies
Thursday, November 18th– Student Contributions to Wikipedia: Adventures in Online Scholarship with Dr. Robert Friedel, Department of History
Thursday, December 16th– The Great Mobile Debate: Should we allow mobile devices in the classroom? with Dr. Jason Farman, Department of American Studies, Dr. Leigh Ryan, Department of English, Dr. James Thorpe, Department of Art and Dr. James Klumpp, Department of Communication
