Germanic Studies majors receive the Annelise and Strauch Scholarship

Congratulations to Nancy Wismer and Drew Nixon who have been awarded the 2015 Annelise and Alfred Strauch Scholarship! We congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment and in joining previous Departmental recipients.

The Anneliese and Alfred Strauch Scholarship for Language Study was established in 2003 by the Department of Germanic Studies faculty member Dr. Gabriele Strauch, in memory of her parents. Each Spring, the Scholarship recognizes the outstanding efforts of 2 to 3 German majors or double majors, who hold Junior standing at the University of Maryland.
